MELBOURNE 1 Feb 2001   In the wake of several other finalists dropping out, EDO 1776 FC are preparing for the final of the 2001 summer season, due to be held outdoors next Tuesday, the 6th of February. "It's EDO for the cup", said team captain Graham Loosmore.

Pre-match festivities are already in progress outside the Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre"What did you guys do on Tuesday?" asked Loosmore, who missed the semi-final due to a Happy Mondays concert, as he informed the team of the shock news. "I read the next morning that after a titanic battle you went down six four, but now I find out we're in the grand final!"

EDO are keeping their match preparations a closely guarded secret, holding training sessions behind closed doors. The final will be played against fierce rivals Superjubs, outside the Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre, on Aughtie Drive, at 8pm.
